Once upon a night

Once upon a night
Once upon a dreary night
I glimpsed the sky
& found a star
She stood alone & not abright
None was far or near to her

I took my time
To tell the star
That rare or oft; sometime
Life must be without a rhyme.

  2. haha. free fonts. awesome.

diipo, thanks for the comment - i'm curious how you found that particular post, which is more than six months old, on my very inactive blog. i also wish i knew what about the last two lines bothered you - i'm always up for revision!

as for 'once upon a night,' i enjoyed it quite a bit. it's sweet without being saccharine or overly sentimental, and the meter works well with the sounds. glad i found your site!

  3. Hi Walker I think I stumbled on your post, it was a great xperience reading through your work, I read your 'Old Lizard Hands' again and found those two lines perfectly ok, I probably was unble to connect to the remaining parts at first read.
